The Savannah International Animation Festival 2010 is proud to present the following outstanding and magical lineup of animation from around the world.

"Recipe"

Director: Martha Barron Griffith Traditional Animation Canada 6 minutes Add one part interpretation, 2 parts intent, stir and let simmer. Caution, results may vary: one woman discovers that a recipe is not necessarily the sum of its ingredients.

"Running Time"

Director: Leland Burke Computer Animation USA 3 minutes An animated journey through the diagnosis and battle of cancer. Both abstract and character-based, this film explores the emotions associated with the disease, as well as the larger-scale efforts being taken by today's doctors and researchers to combat the illness. We follow a young girl as her world is turned upside down, and watch as a race unfolds to find a cure.

"My Girlfriend Sleeps Like Superman"

Director: Steve Gentile Traditional Animation USA 2 minutes 'My Girlfriend Sleeps Like Superman' is an animated fantasy that explores the intersection between romance and insomnia.

"Pet Peeve"

Director: Adam Kelley Student Computer Animation USA 3.5 minutes An elderly man sits, reading a novel when a door chime fills his silent house.  He opens the door revealing a barren front stoop.  Annoyed, he shuts the door to return to his book.  As the bell continuously chimes, he grows nervous and uneasy.  Becoming irritated, he quickly stumbles over to catch the offender in the act.  While poised to quickly answer, a cage is revealed with a bird mimicking the sound of a doorbell.

"Heartstrings"

Director: Rhiannon Evans Student Stop Motion Animation United Kingdom 3 minutes When two characters meet and fall in love they become joined by a red piece of string, but what happens when the length of string runs out?

"Lintscape"

Director: Caitlin Craggs Student Experimental Animation USA 3 minutes A woman is washing clothes in her laundry room. Bits and particles are moving as though animate or alive. The lint in her dryer comes alive and attacks the woman. Lint spores grow from her dead body and set transforms into a 3D environment-- a lintscape.

"Let Them Eat"

Director: Sarah MacDonald Web Animation Canada 3 minute In 2017, a catidemic spreads across the country to households everywhere. It turns your average cat into a bloodthirsty zombie, but only more dangerous. They can kill you with their eyes. Join a group of kittens in their adventures of murder and mayhem as they fill their bellies with brains. Will the humans discover a cure for the furry balls of death or will this acatalypse kill them all?

"The Discovery"

Director: Rodgers Dameron Student Traditional Animation USA 5.5 minutes The film is set at the end of a cold winter in rural Russia in the early twentieth century.  Two children, Nastya and Vanye Ivanov, walk through a snowy meadow in the countryside and discover a dead man in the thawing snow.  These two young children come face to face with the nature of life and death, and the brother and sister react to the discovery in very different ways.

"OPINTOR DE CEOS"

Director: Jorge Morais Valle Computer Animation Spain 20 minutes From the darkness of the lost cliffs, a crazy painter, marked by his past, and his faithul assistant try to find a solution against perpetual storms. Sea is destroying their home. A magic boiler and some tormented ghosts will help them to find the light.
