An average olive takes seven to ten years to grow from a seed to a mature fruit. It is ironic then, that olives are victims of unfortunate deaths in a matter of seconds. Humans never take the time to contemplate the fate of olives. A Pitiful Fate explores the inevitable ends an olive must face on a daily basis. The story from an olive’s perspective is as humorous as it is depressing. In this four part short, where the human hand is the weapon and surprise is the enemy, olives react to the constant threat of death in different ways. Olives cannot escape from this simple twist of fate. |
